A Compassionate Response To Child Abuse

Support and Service...

Family Support Team volunteers are specially trained to work with our staff to help provide services to abused children and their non-offending family members.  They greet children and families who come to Juliette's House for assessment for suspected abuse, and provide an environment that is supportive and comfortable.

In additon to emotional support, these trained volunteers help children and families by providing information, help in linking them to mental health and social services, assistance with filling out and filing crime victim's compensation forms and other paperwork.  They also offer transportation to and from appointments where appropriate and both in-person and telephone follow up support.

Compassion and Help...

The compassionate work of our Family Support Team volunteers helps break the cycle of child abuse.   Their contribution makes a significant impact on the lives of children who have been sexually and/or physically abused and for children who are at risk of being abused, and helps families heal and recover.

 Internships Available...

Qualified students can become Family Support Team Volunteers under internship arrangements Juliette's House has entered into with George Fox University, Linfield College and other institutions.  Students at college-level institutions are invited to inquire about becoming volunteer interns.

Students wishing to serve as Family Support Team interns must make a commitment of no less than 4 hours per week during the entire school year.  Summer internships are available as well for students who can make a 10-15 hr/week commitment.
